Electric Vehicle Charging: Only a building block or a game changer for energy transition?
The European Green Deal will bring a boom of electric vehicles. This will create new challenges for the electricity grid but may also open many new opportunities.
The way of charging these vehicles could bring the solution through smart technologies, interoperable data management and by removing the existing barriers.
Both ENTSO-E and AIOTI recently published papers on Electric Vehicles’ integration to try to find answers to the challenges and to find ways to seize the opportunities. Both associations invite you to discuss whether Electric Vehicle charging is only a building block or a game changer for the energy transition. The joint webinar is organised with the support of the EU Commission and will take place on 7 May 2021 from 10.00 to 13.00 CET.
The InterConnect Project will be represented in the Panel I. – Finding solutions – Where and how? (by SONAE) and Panel II. – Smart charging – convergence and agile regulation (by Th!nk E and INESC TEC, the project coordinator).
