French pilot is setting up technologies to be tested in residential areas
The French pilot will be set up in the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis. The end users are residential energy consumers, building energy managers of collective homes, companies and public buildings.
In Le PRADET, a French city located in Côte d’Azur, the local school is currently installing the solar panel on the roof. The goal is to maximize the potential of renewable energy by increasing flexibility.
In addition, a meeting with the social lessor has already take place in order to present the use case of the French pilot and to start recruitment. This involves around 150 inhabitants.
Toulon Provence Méditerranée is also preparing to launch a call for tenders for solar carports (150 places of parking).
The pilot partners are considering to extend the experiments to the Levant island, where they have met with the president of the residence union in order to present the use case. Nearly 100 residents will be engage in this experiment.
During the pilot, at least 250 energy management systems will be provided to users. The goal is to optimize the client’s energy system by using flexibility.
The pilot partners are: ENEDIS, ENGIE; INETUM, THERMOVAULT; TRIALOG and YNCREA.
